The new regulation of the Kosovo Central Bank, which will take effect from February 1st to 2024, has prompted numerous reactions. Concerns about such a regulation have also demonstrated by the European Union.
Today the chief of the EU Office, Thomas Szunyog, has gone to BQ Governor Ahmet Ismaili's office to discuss this regulation that changes cash operations and regulates the process of treating banknotes and euro currency and other currency cases that are allegedly forged.
Szunyog has asked Ismaili for the implementation work, as it is expected to affect the lives of citizens in Serb-run areas.
The chief of the EU Office has also said it is disturbing that there is very little time for adjustment before the regulation's entry into force.
