Carim Benzema has indicted France's Interior Minister for slander after he accused former Real Madrid striker of links to a terrorist organisation.
Gerald Darman claimed Benzema was linked to the Muslim Brotherhood in the wake of French football criticism of the unjust bombings in Gaza in October.
In response, 36-year-old has filed charges against Darman, who is guilty of political exploitation, according to Benzema's lawyer, Hughes Vigier, pwrlow Kosovars.
In his complaint, Benzema denied any connection to the organisation or anyone who claims to be a member of it.
