Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi has said that from tomorrow the BEC regulation comes into force.
He said so at the media conference, I follow Periscope:
Just as it has been clarified several times by the institution that has approved the regulation, the same has the goals, aiming to protect the country's financial integrity, advance the fight against criminal activities such as money laundering, financing terrorism, money laundering, etc.
In this context, the object of regulation has not been the assignment of monetary currency in circulation because this is already set. Similarly, it has not been the ban on any specific currency because it is regulated by the country's Constitution.
So, in any way that the regulation is handled by or only by the ban on a certain currency, in the best case, it constitutes non-recognition of the regulation or the competencies of the CEC or even the misuse of regulation for non-ficiate political interests.
This regulation brings in a series of important innovations, which connect to the ban on the circulation of 500 euros, shows the license courses of operators dealing with imports of cards and counting machines.
All of this goes into effect tomorrow.
The attempt to have the date of entry into force is interpreted only by the angle of impact it will have on the transport of currency into dinars, disregards the regulation in effect, but also devales all these important aspects that regulate cash operations in the country.
The CEC's regulation neither forbids nor allows nor deals with the Serbian dinar, because the Serbian dinar has not even been allowed in the past so the regulation can stop it.
There are, however, a number of concerns related to the implementation of regulations that it may have on citizens who have operated through illegal structures on the market, as well as the impact this regulation can have on those businesses that have been given dinars.
Last week is followed by a series of reactions, meetings and requests.
Let me point out that none of the demands of the involved parties, and especially this applies to our international friends, do not question the law of the CEC regulation, nor the fact that the CEC is the only institution that designs and implements monetary policy in the country.
The CEC is subject only to our Constitution, does not confirm that the euro has been and continues to be the only official currency in Kosovo.
Bislimi: Evental transition period, we'll make sure citizens get through more easily and without injuries
So Bislim declared away at the conference:
The only concern of our partners is with the dosmodassohen of the eventual adaptation of operation under the new umbrella of rules, those citizens who have accepted transfers from Serbia to have more time available on the implications resulting from this regulation.
Thus, a transitional time is required, the regulation does not stop circulation from Serbia and does not imply financial reactions to another state.
The CEC has offered solutions on how this can be fixed. Kosovo is committed to implementing legitimacy in each part of Kosovo being nempromis.
At the same time, we are committed to the transitional periods for citizens to pass as easily as possible.
The mechanisms will focus on serving in this transitional phase to inform citizens, not on punishing them”, he said. /Periscope
Who will monitor the implementation of the regulation that prevents the dinar?
