US President Joe Biden has mentioned the Balkans and the impending danger in the event the United States does not continue to send aid to Ukraine, which is facing Russian invasion in February 2022.

Speaking after a conference with U.S. heads of state on January 19, Biden has mentioned the powerful position of the United States in the world, and the challenges other countries are facing.

If we stop, and Russia continues to fight and be defeated Ukraine, what do you think will happen to Balkan countries? What will happen to Poland as far as Hungary? Seriously, think about it. It changes the” dynamic, Biden said, according to the White House.

The United States, which has mostly helped Ukraine from the start of the war, currently faces blockades of some conservative republics that have come up against further division of aid to this state.

In Beden's package for aid, $50 billion stands for Ukraine and 14 billion for Israel.

Even the European Union has failed to allocate funds worth $50 billion for Ukraine because of the veto Hungary has used.

Last month, the head of the US Office for Business, Shala Young, has said in a letter sent to House of Representatives head Mike Johnson that, if the military aid ends, Kyevi will kneel to the Russian occupation.

In total, the United States has earmarked $111 billion for Ukraine from the start of the war, including $66 billion for purchasing military equipment.

Russian President Vladimir Putin calls war <x0 military special operation” to demilitarise Ukraine.

The West has responded to Russia, striking the economy of this state with severe sanctions.

As a result of the war, thousands have died, and millions of others have been displaced from their homes.

Prevention of any Balkan conflict

Even US Secretary of State Antony Blinken repeated in November last year that the last thing the West wants in the Western Balkan region is the return of conflicts, while citing the importance of NATO's presence.

Following attacks on Zvecan Banika, in September last year, KFOR, mission NATO in Kosovo has increased its presence in this country and now numbers 4,500.

On 24 September, an armed Serb group attacked the Kosovo Police, killing Sergeant Africa Bulnjak.

Kosovo has blamed Serbia's state for the attack, though it has denied everything.

The responsibility for the attack has been taken over by Milan Radoic, former deputy chairman of the Serbian List, the largest party of Serbs in Kosovo.

The International Police Agency (INTERPOL) has already issued a warrant for his arrest. / REL
