Bajrami for stopping the dinar: BEC must not back down from decision

Constitutional law science professor Arsim Bajrami has stated that the ban on the dinar circulation by the Kosovo Central Bank is the right decision and Kosovo should not back down.

It's been time for any other state's currency to be removed because this has in a way been a violation of sovereignty. The CEC has done well to have completed implementation of other currency. I think that Kosovo institutions, and in this case, the CEC should not accept the annulment of this regulation”, Bajrami has declared.

He has also stressed that also the Government should not accept in any variant that this issue is part of the dialogue.

This is the unfair approach of the EU to be the subject of discussion because that's how dialogue will lead to endlessly. Whatever issue Serbia wants to make part of the dialogue, then the subject registry will be limitless. Instead of the EU finalising dialogue and concluding it, it is also trying to see that the political problems that are stemming from the construction that Serbia has imposed, to put on dialogue themes”, Arsim Bajrami stressed.

He has further said that if the European goal is progress in the normalisation process, it should occur over the following months because of the possibility of changing the directors.

After summer vacation, the agenda will change because it is elections in many European states, elections for the European Parliament. We also have elections for the president of the United States in the fall. So if there is a will for existing structures to score progress then this will happen in the next two months. Kosovo is set before this challenge, because then we will probably not be like the leading Kosovo of the EU, but also the concentration of the US administration because the attention will be in the” elections, he said.

In addition Bajrami has said that Kosovo also has an interest in normalisation taking place now, because according to all likelihood, in the international arena, political right-wing will soon prevail.

The main construction of this agreement is taking Serbia because it is continuing with the same rhetoric that will implement the agreement as a whole. The agreement must either be applied or not by taking what you need and leaving what you want. Kosovo has an interest in moving forward with this agreement because the conclusion of international forces that will be established after the elections will be more favourable because, according to predictions, in all countries is strengthening right”, Bajrami has warned of RTK.
