The failure to publish the final report on the September 24th attack on Banjska is being made due to fears of blocking dialogue by Serbia.
So say connoisseurs of political issues in Kosovo, until they stress that the EU has procedures to gather all facts and come up with an objective report.
University professor Arsim Bajrami told Radio Kosovo that the entire international factor is clear what happened in Zvecan Banjska, seeing a terrorist act on Serbia's part in Kosovo and should not spend more time to complete the report.
But, he thinks the delay to come up with a report is being made due to the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, as, according to him, the release of an exact assessment will address the direct responsibility of the Serbian state.
The international sector at this moment as if it wants to postpone publication of the report, to encourage Kosovo and Serbia to continue dialogue and eventually to score progress in implementing the plan, which these two states have agreed to in the Brussels Agreement, and especially in the action plan in the Ohrid Agreement. Therefore, the postponement is not for lack of information, or for lack of completing the findings found, but is for political purposes, to enable development of dialogue”, Bajrami said.
However, Bajrami does not think that this long-term delay will take place, as he said, the whole of Europe, but the US is also involved in a cycle of elections. He stressed that by the end of March there may be progress in implementing the agreements reached, and to that end delays in the report on events in Banjska are made.
