Three young Albanians have been physically attacked in Montenegro on January 6th. According to Albanian police, the event took place around 2:00 p.m. at the site called Zelenika in the vicinity of the town of Herceg Novi.

The three Albanian citizens have been moving in a German license vehicle and suddenly attacked without a cause, by a group of six or seven people who first hit the vehicle and then physically attacked Albanian citizens, causing physical damage to various parts of the body”, police said in Albania.

The report to the media also said that three Albanian citizens were submitted to local police in Herceg Novi, where they were treated on the part of the legal doctor, who has ascertained injuries caused by physical shocks.

Initially, the three Albanians have refused to make confessions, as they were asked by the Montenegrin police. Following the Albanian authorities' interest, it has only been agreed to make a statement in the presence of a lawyer, who has been made available by the Albanian Embassy in Montenegro.

Albania's police said Montenegrin counterparts have assured the three Albanian citizens that the necessary assistance has been provided and that intensive investigation is under way to whiteen the event. Thus far it is taught that in this case, authorities have accompanied some.

Albania's Interior Minister, Taulant Balla, in a response to the media, said he has communicated with his counterpart, Danilo Saranovic, who has asked him for information on the event. Balla said three Albanian citizens were attacked by eight men dressed in military uniforms.

He thanked Montenegrin Prime Minister Milljko Spajiq, who in a post on social networks expressed regret over the event and announced that one of the authors has been identified and is working on his capture and the complete dawn of the event.

Albania's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the Albanian Embassy in Montenegro is closely following all developments about this event, while three Albanian citizens have been taken in protection and offered any necessary service, including the legal one. / REL
