Xavi Hernandez has acknowledged that he too must improve if they want to register success as a team outside of Spain's football.
Since his appointment as Barcelona coach, the club recorded successes in Spain, but not in the Champions League and the League of Europe, the Express broadcast.
And Xavi in an interview for “Marca” was asked if he was feeling pressure to improve the results.
Me? Yes, always, I have to prove myself at every game, this is Barca. We all have tremendous pressure, but it's a challenge, and I like challenges. It's the challenges I've set myself as a coach and a team. Join the players and pursue enthusiasm for them to give everything”, he said.
Xavi also pointed out that if they had the same shape, both in La League and the Champions League, his team would be better off.
I've been positive since birth. I don't know if it's a virtue or a defect. I'm excited, maybe we should stop the euphoria. We've done things right [against Betis], but now we have to prove ourselves every three days”, the Spanish coach said.
The 43-year-old took over Barcelona in November 2021. He led “Blaugrans” to the title of last season's champion (2022/23), as well as to triumph in the Supercup of Spain.
