Pristina Community warns: The “George Bush” road will be closed for buses and taxis

The Public Services Directorate in Pristina municipality, Iliric Musliu, has warned that the “George Bush” road will be closed for buses and taxis, based on the World Bank project, which, he has said, will be transformed into green space.

Musliu has said that the route will be space with urban furniture and will be connected to “Zahir Pajaziti”, “subeze” and “Skenderbeu”

We are expecting the details of the project from the World Bank's contracted consultancy, we will enter with interventions and see what the final decision will be. From what I've seen so far has been for driving cars and buses. The road has been interrupted for several activities that have been under the Directorate of Culture and Sports, but we are waiting for the final details and then starting the work. Based on what I've seen in the project, the road will be stopped for cars, taxis and buses. It will not be released for buses or cars, it will be turned into squares and space with urban furniture, in greenspace”, it has managed.

He has also talked about smart lighting, which, he said, is more expensive but more effective.

“The mayor needs such enlightenment, has a different cost, challenging budget is, as the Director of SCHA has a budget to continue lighting, but I think light should be extended to the capital... Over 50 roads we've managed to shine for the first time, this year we'll make over 100 public lighting routes for the first time”, he highlighted KTV.
