Remzi Ejupi has finally left FC Pristina after 20 years of contribution to the Bardekkalter Club.
At today's meeting of the club's leadership, Ejupi has sold all the shares and will no longer be part of the largest club in the country.
After the meeting, the Kosovo businessman has also given the first statements, saying he is leaving after considering it is not worth continuing until Kosovo football is in this difficult situation”.
I've been 20 years in Pristina, once you're spent. Twenty years of contribution to the Pristina club are not little, and the reason I can probably say is that what's happening in Kosovo football and that it's in Kosovo football hasn't proved to be worth moving on at the moment because it's not easy, you see other clubs have enormous difficulties. We've thought that after accession to FIFA and UEFA will have much more ease, we are seeing that there are more difficulties. So, I've decided to leave for a while, say Ejupi to the media.
According to him, tyfogroup protests “Plisat” have nothing to do with his decision, as Ejupi insists Pristina has not lacked results during its leadership in the past 20 years.
The FC Pristina will go into the hands of Behemman Haradin, who will have 100 per cent of the club's shares.
Besides Ejupi, a few acting shareholders have been removed from the club.
