Thaci's lawyer wants to close investigation into organ trafficking, says Russia was proven to be involved

In Kosovo Specialised Chambers ( In The Hague, in judgment against Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselin, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Krasniqi, Thaci's lawyer, Gregory Kehoe, has asked the court to show that the prosecution in the case has nothing to do with organ trafficking. This has been followed by Russian articles that [...]
This, according to him, has been published by some Russian articles that are reflected in European media that the accused in this judicial case have dealt with organ trafficking, reports “Justice Vow”.
According to Kehoe, this is false and that since the trafficking investigation is over, someone has to say that the indictment is not connected to organ trafficking.
He said he does not know whether the Russians are trying to influence this court, claiming the accused are involved in this indictment in organ trafficking, while stressing that this is not true.
Meanwhile, the second issue discussed by him was related to the impact on witnesses, clarifying that in some articles it has been noted that the Government of Kosovo has contacted an Albanian person in Germany, under which it has been asked to find four Catholic witnesses to testify against Hashim Thaci.
According to Keheo, it is understandable that the Specialised Prosecutor's Office uses mediators, but this, according to him, is intervention in the process of justice.
These cases, the same will address them in writing so that the court will give the necessary instructions.
The hearing is continuing with the 16th witness's hearing in the matter, with code 03879, whose testimony is expected to last between 4 and 5 days.
The SPS's questions are being asked by prosecutor Matt Halling, who for ID purposes has demanded that the session be passed into private session.
