The cause of extensive public procurement procedures, by the Kosovo Statistics Agency, says the deadline for population registration has been extended for two months.
KSF deputy chief chief Ilir Berisha said that although the deadline for registration was envisioned for September, all preparations have been made to begin this process by November.
According to him, the creation of municipal commissions in most municipalities, besides northern ones, enters into preparation.
Berisha said they also expect the mayors of the northern municipalities to start with these preparations, so that they can make proposals for commission members.
While adding that the census will not remain hostage if deliberately called for boycott.
In addition to making all necessary preparations, Berisha says that this year they have reduced their vacations.
The Kosovo government has extended the deadline for population registration for two months. And for delaying this census, Prime Minister Albin Kurti has pointed his finger at the Kosovo Communist Association, accusing the 2021 process.
