Two investigators from the Economic Crimes have interviewed State Reserve Department officials within the Ministry of Industry, Undertaking and Trade, about the food reserves scandal published in the media.
First at 1:30 p.m. until around 1500 p.m., two investigators from economic crimes interviewed officials in this department after two of them were heard on wiretapping published by the National Media.
The scandal has to do with illegal oil purchases, where officials were heard to admit that the process has had irregularities and, furthermore, the ministry has given money, but the oil has never come to Kosovo.
As it is known so far, the ministry -- through several people close to Prime Minister Albin Kurti -- bought oil from an almost fanatic company in Poland.
Albanian Post has understood from sources within the ministry that one of those interviewed was also Hafiz Gara, director of the State Reserve Department.
On July 19th, Hajdari had declared that he was not invited by the State Prosecutor over misuse of state reserves.
Hajdari, questioned by reporters, said he is unaware of whether he is under investigation or not.
I was never invited by anyone for anything. I don't know I'm under investigation”, she said briefly in front of reporters.
Also, according to media reports, Kosovo Police's anticorruption task force is currently investigating at least five ministers and a deputy minister of Kurti Government.
