Deputy Prosecutor Qavolli reacts to Minister Peci: The prosecution filed 20 illegal construction charges

Such a statement, prosecutor Qavolli made Thursday at the 233rd KKP meeting, where Chief Prosecutors of the Republic of Kosovo are reporting to members of the Council for the April-May 2023 period, reports “Justice Voting”.
Before members of the Council, Qavoli said 20 charges have been filed for the criminal work of construction without permission, in connection with the case that was initiated by Minister Peci.
“Only for the place where it was posted by the minister we have filed for all cases 20 charges for the criminal work of construction without permission, so even claims that have been displayed in the media do not stand”, prosecutor Qavolli said.
Such a statement by prosecutor Qavoli came after Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development Minister Faton Peci had reacted to the illegal construction in the village of Stankaj of the Pec municipality, arguing that the Prosecution had not taken any action concerning the Ministry's denouncing of 25 villas in this village.
While, in terms of criminal acts “Construction without permission”, prosecutor Qavolli said 429 charges were filed and that the Constitutional Prosecutorship in Pec has not stood back.
“E saw the time of the end that there have been some reactions to the construction without permission in a Rugova Beast village, we as the Prosecutor did not stand by in relation to those cases, in terms of unlicensed construction we have filed during the period 429 indictment”, Qavoli declared before Council members.
In addition, Qavolli has also provided statistics concerning cases of domestic violence, saying that 77 subjects of this nature have been accepted during the reporting period.
According to him, out of 77 accepted family violence courses, the Prosecutor's Office in Pec has filed 66 charges, three criminal charges were dropped, and in one case he said that the investigation had ceased.
On the other hand, in 13 detention requirements, all were approved according to him.
Otherwise, other prosecutor's attorneys are also reporting on this meeting.
The National Coordinator for Combating Economic Crime will also report during this meeting for April-June 2023.
