MPJD gives details of Kosovo's tragic family accident falling by car to Lepenc

According to official information, a Kosovo license vehicle has lost direction and ended up on the Lepenc River. Four people from a Kosovo family were in the car. One person has managed to escape the river, while three others are on the run.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspore reports that along with the specialised teams of Northern Macedonia, which in the early hours of the morning part of the search-saving operation are the relevant units from the KSF and the one from the Kosovo Police.

Because of the many roots of the past few days, the operation is under way with some difficulties but without epilogues so far”, the report says.

Yesterday, on June 17th, 2023, in the afternoon after a traffic accident, a car with license plates of the Republic of Kosovo has lost direction and ended up on the Lepenc River.

Four members of a Kosovo family were in the car. One of them has managed to get out of the Lepenc River, while the others are looking.

Interior Minister Xhelal Svecla has emerged on the scene, along with Kosovo's ambassador to northern Macedonia, Florian Qehaja, accompanied by RMV Deputy Interior Minister Nazim Bush.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, through accelerated procedures, has facilitated and co-ordinated the passage of specialised search-finding units from Kosovo to the territory of RMV, following the request of Macedonian authorities.

Along with the specialised North Macedonia teams, which early in the morning hours part of the search-saving operation are the relevant units from the KSF and the one from Kosovo Police. Due to the numerous declines of the past few days, the operation is under way with some difficulty but without epilogue so far.
