Albania's Socialist Party has triumphed in most of Albania's municipalities in local elections. So far, it has won 48 municipalities, leading another 7 that are being counted. Unexpected in these elections was the result in the historic raids of opposition such as Shkodra, Tropoja, Devolli, Kukesi, Skrapar, which are painted pink.
The SP has also triumphed in Kamaz, Vora, Elasan, Pustec, Colnesca, Libezhdez, Dropul, Roskovec, Libohowe, Rrogozhja, Krog, Grams, Belsch, Përmet, Delvine, Selonica, Tepene, Pecin, Polican, Luzqiza, Mat, Krocós, Kuveco, Saranda, Pártos, Shkrapar, Cracer, Pares, Pres, Prenas, Depareja, Larás, Konkas, Valka, Leqal, Lekamtt, Diak, Diaktts, Diaktt, Shrets, Shik.
Even in 7 other municipalities where the count is followed, as in Gjirokastra, Kurbin, Kavaj, Great Malece, Kukes, Durres and Tirana, the SP leads.
On the other hand, the “Basca coalition we win” has suffered defeat with the victory of only six municipalities by contracting the democrats' map with the SP's takeover. Berisha and Meta were not even voted in Tropoj and Skrapar, their native countries of which have consistently been supported. “Basca We win” has won in Puka, Has, Himara, Memalaj, Mirday, Bear Fush.
