In the latest announcement issued by Kosovo police, police reportedly the injuries of police officers have come after protesters have dropped various strong means and bombs in the direction of police and official vehicles.
According to police, three EULEX vehicles and several civilian cars, including those of journalists, have been damaged.
“As a consequence of the five) attacks, police officials have suffered slight bodily injuries, four (4) official vehicles were damaged, one of which was set on fire by being damaged in the field, several civilian cars including journalists, as well as three (3) EULEX cars were damaged. Also in some cases at various locations have been heard gun shootings, for which investigations are being conducted in co-operation with justice bodies”, the report said.
In the announcement, police have suggested they have removed the transport vehicles that were located on the streets in the form of barricades.
“Designed criminal groups, in addition to attacks on officials and vehicles, have attempted to block various roads with gravel/stones and heavy transport tools. Kosovo police, with the aim of securing the free movement of people and goods, have taken measures to clear them and clear roads in co-operation and co-ordination with competent authorities. Transport tools have been removed, roads are free for circulation, while Kosovo Police have engaged its units for further investigation and police actions”, the report said.
The case has been named as “Contain of the Constitutional Order and Cause of the General Danger and Loss of Riches”.
