Kurti for tensions in the north: We have no other option, we understand the allies' concerns

Prime Minister Albin Kurti has said he is aware and that he understands the concerns raised by international partners for yesterday's developments in the north, but that any other option would be not to meet obligations. He has invited Kosovo Serb citizens to co-operate with the new mayors and their cabinets. [...]
He has invited Kosovo Serb citizens to co-operate with the new mayors and their cabinets.
“We are aware and understand the concerns raised by our international partners. But any other option, it would be not to fulfill our government's constitutional obligations to the new mayors; it would be non-fulfillment of the new mayors' obligations to the citizens of the Republic; and it would be unable to provide municipal basic services for citizens.
So, as the prime minister of all citizens, I invite all -- especially Kosovo Serb citizens -- to co-operate with their new leaders and cabinets, which will be multiethnic, multi-cultural, multi-language and multi-party. They are chosen, and they are not against anyone, but in the service of all”, Kurti wrote.
Full communication:
Following their oath Thursday, yesterday, the three mayors elected in the April 23rd elections in four municipalities in northern Kosovo had their first day of work. Going the mayor to his workplace would be the normal thing possible. The object of the municipality building is where citizens are served on the basis of law and constitution. He belongs to the Republic, so he hasn't been taken yesterday, and he won't be taken for another day.
We are aware and understand the concerns raised by our international partners.
They are chosen, and they are not against anyone, but in the service of all.
I want to thank the members of the Kosovo Republic Police for their professional, state and protection of rule of law. They, as they testify every day, witnessed yesterday that they are willing to serve the order, the law of the Republic as professionals, fearless and dignified, in affirmation of a multiethnic security environment, despite the harsh conditions the groups managed by the parapolitical structure in that part of the country.
Order and law, democracy and free movement, security and peace, can and must walk side by side. We engage in such activities day after day.
The roads in the north are all open and circulated for citizens. The municipalities and the mayors have to work hard because we have a lot of work to do for the citizens.
I wish you all a nice weekend!
