At this meeting, with the appointment of the new Electoral Assembly date, the LDK also opens the race for new official candidacy for party chairmanship.
The new Assembly, besides the mayor, is expected to reveal the new party chairmanship and other governing bodies.
In the LDK, an internal electoral process has been under way in more than a year.
The Democratic League of Kosovo has held the last election assembly on 14 March 2021, following the extremely poor outcome of the February 14th elections that year, which led to former leader Isa Mustafa's resignation. From this site, the LDK came out with new chairman ʹ Lumir Abdixhik and with new leadership. In front of him, Abdixhiku had two other candidates for LDK chairman, Deputy Chairman Lutfi Haziri and headship member Besian Mustafa.
The current chairman, Lumir Abdixhiku, is expected again to aim for the party's direction for a full mandate, demanding confidence from the new party structures selected by the internal process in the LDK, ending with the new election Assembly.
