The same request was made for the Kosovo Police to leave the area.
Furthermore, here is Blinken's full statement by the UN: We call on all parties to take immediate action to reduce tensions.
The United States condemned the unacceptable violence yesterday against NATO-led KFOR troops, order forces and journalists. The Government of Kosovo's decision to force entry into municipal buildings escalated tensions sharply and unnecessaryly.
“Prime Minister Kurti and his government must ensure that elected mayors perform their transitional duties from alternative locations outside municipal buildings and withdraw police forces from the vicinity.
President Vuciq and the government of Serbia must lower the security status of the Serbian Armed Forces and urge Kosovo Serbs to stop the challenges to KFOR and refrain from further violence. Both Kosovo and Serbia must immediately engage in EU-attensive dialogue for normalisation of relations.
