The first steps were positive, and club officials offered Xavi Hernández the possibility of renovation for two seasons.
According to Sports, instead of completing the contract at the end of next season, the coach would stay two more seasons at the helm of the Catalan team.
Xavi Hernandez would stay practically until the end of Barca President Joan Laporta's mandate. Barca's target is renovation with the coach during the month of April and formalising the renovation once the championship closes.
