Surrounded by numerous American flags, former President Trump delivered a campaign-style speech to numerous supporters at his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida on Tuesday evening.

Trump took a challenging stand, citing among other things, the two failed trials in Congress for his dismissal when he was president. He called the indictment filed against him in New York, as the last in “attacks with fraudulent investigations”. “This false case (actadia) arose only to intervene in the upcoming 2024 elections and must close immediately”, said Mr. Trump.

I never thought anything like this could happen in America”, said Mr. Trump. The only “The single crime I've committed has been our country's fearless defense against those who seek to destroy it”.

Most Republicans running for the White House or planning to declare candidacy have expressed support for Mr. Trump. Through statements they have indicated that investigations of Mr. Trump are politically motivated.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Republican Kevin McCarty, said that the establishment of the indictment indicates that, our holy justice system was used politically against Mr. Trump.

Through a text on the Twitter network, Governor DeSantis says that the establishment of the indictment was non - American.
“The political use of our justice system to advance a political agenda turns the law's implementation” upside down, says Mr. DeSantis' posting on the Twitter network.

The Manhattan County Procuror, supported by Soros, has repeatedly distorted the law by letting the criminals go free. Now, however, he is straining the law to target a political opponent”, Mr. DeSantis expresses himself.

The reactions of elected democratic officials over the raising of charges against Mr. Trump have been slim, including President Joe Biden.

The defendant, Donald J. Trump, forged business records in New York to conceal an illegal attempt to undermine the integrity of the 2016 presidential election, as well as other violations of election laws”, County Assistant Prosecutor Christopher Conroy said.

For the first time in history, a former president of the United States has appeared in court as a defendant on criminal charges.

Prosecutors say Mr. Trump tried to influence the outcome of the 2016 presidential elections by trying to block news that could harm his candidacy and then by hiding the true nature of payments to buy silence.

Criminal charges stem from three separate cases, where the former president and his associates are charged with making payments to buy the silence of three individuals during his presidential campaign in 2016.

The payments, the indictment says, were made to buy the silence of two women who claimed to have had intimate relations with Mr. Trump, many years ago, and a fee to buy the silence of an employee of Trump Tower who claimed Mr. Trump had a child in an extramarital relationship.

Mr. Trump has been charged with 34 criminal acts of counterfeiting business data. Earlier Tuesday, he surrendered to authorities in New York and declared he was innocent of all charges.

Republican Trump has portrayed the New York case and three separate investigations by the Department of Justice and Prosecutors in Georgia as politically motivated.

Prosecutor Alvin Bragg was asked during a press conference why he had filed the indictment right now and whether the moment was political setbacks. The district prosecutor said his office had “additional proven” that his predecessor did not have. “I file the indictment when there are nearly”, he said.

The judge did not issue orders not to be discussed in public, but warned Mr. Trump to avoid comments that could provoke civil unrest. If convicted of any of the 34 counts of crimes, Mr. Trump could face a maximum of four years in prison, but is likely to be sentenced less.

The judge set out the next session on December 4th. Mr. Trump's lawyers demanded that he be excluded from the personally participating in the session due to the extraordinary security required. Prosecutors demanded that the trial be scheduled in January, weeks before the republican candidates' preliminary vote for 2024 presidential elections. Mr. Trump's lawyers demanded that the trial be postponed to spring. The judge has not yet set a date, according to reports until the moment of the article's publication. / VOA/
