Among the seven countries that voted against Kosovo membership in the Council of Europe, besides Serbia, Hungary, Azerbaijan, Romania, Cyprus and Georgia, was Spain.
Spanish analyst and Madrid university professor Ignacio Molina in a Twitter post has criticised Spain's stance, saying it is listed with countries that voted against Kosovo's membership in the Council of Europe.

“Spain has voted against Kosovo membership in the Council of Europe. We have voted like Hungary, Serbia and Azerbaijan. We could have abstained (such as Greece, Slovakia or Ukraine, which also do not recognise their citizenship), but why should we lose another chance to err?”, Professor Molina wrote.
He further wrote that Spain is the only Western European country in this absurd crusade against the youngest and poorest country in Europe.
This map of who has voted for Kosovo's membership in the Council of Europe should place all red flags of our diplomacy”, Molina wrote.
But Kosovo's membership in KiE voted: Albania, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Ireland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lichtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Northern Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, San Marino, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and the United Kingdom. /Telegraph
