Memli Krasniqi: Thaci, Veselin, Krasniqi, Selimi and their fighters will return victorious, as once came as deliverers

Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Memli Krasniqi from “Martici for Justice” has welcomed former Kosovo Liberation Army leaders being held in The Hague, Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselini, Jakup Krasniqi, Rexhep Selimi and their fellow fighters.

Krasniqi from “Square Skenderbeu” in Pristina, in a speech to thousands of citizens, said that today we marry for Justice “to solidify with our deliverers, strongly believing they will return victorious.

Today we march proudly for those who once marched to freedom. We march to seek justice, for those who from tomorrow face a trial process, in which they are not due to their own names, but because of the glorious era they represent. We march for Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselini, Jakup Krasniqi, Rexhep Selimi and their fellow fighters who are today away from us, holding the final battle for the dignity and truth of our freedom struggle. And by firmly believing in justice, we have no doubt that they will return as winners, as they once came, as deliverers, because they are living heroes who, apart from freedom, have had a second mission and besides independence, have had a backup project. Today, we solidify with them, because they are mirrors of a historic and national, democratic and civilist road, but that has yet to be completed”, Krasniqi stressed.

Krasniqi sought justice for the truth and the history of our people, which no one, ever and with nothing, could change and distort.

Our people's struggle for deliverance was not just an army confrontation, but a struggle between freedom and tyranny, between justice and injustice, between hope and despair. And we were lined up on the side of freedom, justice and hope. So yes! We seek justice because for countless crimes against our citizens, thousands of Serb criminals have never been brought to justice. But, above all, we seek righteousness, because justice is the virtue that seals the truth and the history of our people, which no one, ever and with nothing, can change and make crooked”, he said.

I invite you to maintain the spirit of unity within us, to renew our commitment to Kosovo that we love for ourselves and our children, for Kosovo which deliverers have dreamed of and which we owe to make come true. That's how we're going to avenge those who gave everything for our freedom and our country. This must be our honor for generations who led the way of our freedom. This is our obligation to Hashim, Kadri, Jakup Basca, Raj, Cal, Hyss, Peter's Nazi. And this should be our common path to Kosovo's of our dreams. For Kosovo that unites us and in which the Sun will be passed over. Eternal glory to all fallen for Kosovo freedom. Justice for our rescuers”, Krasniqi said.

He added that the glory of the Kosovo Liberation Army cannot be diminished over the years, nor does it compare with changing generations.

Our union over a just cause is exactly what Kosovo needs most, because just as we are today, we have always managed to defend the truth and claim the right that belongs to us. Therefore, from the heart, I am grateful to each of you, that with high patriotic and national consciences, with high citizens and state awareness, you and your families are here today, to give such a view to Kosovo. This view, is the most clear and direct message, that our freedom has a name, and that the glory of the Kosovo Liberation Army does not diminish over the years, nor does it change with the change of generations. And that every generation of the future will have the same emotion as today's generations, whenever you call our three golden letters of freedom: U C!”, the leader said PDK.

Krasniqi cited the period when as a people and a nation, we have made a long and historic march from legitimate requirements for equality, freedom and independence to the glorious war of the Kosovo Liberation Army, saying that this union today reminds the people of Kosovo of their march towards freedom.
