Addressing protesters from the diaspora, General Lame has asked if he thinks Europe progress and development achieves “by damaging rescuers”.
He has said that the Albanian people today are struggling to gain political and judicial rights and dignity in the eyes of the world.
Like everyone else, we don't want to have even in modern times fear of being killed. Today, I want to call to meet you on all continents. We can no longer bear injustice just because powerful people want to adjust their interests about our rights. I am not willing to accept injustice just because Serbia has a desire to turn it into a victim of Albanians who fought to be freed and rescued from it, to turn into criminals. Do you really feel complete accusing rescuers of crimes to make Serbia a victim? Do you personally believe what you are doing? Does Europe really think that progress and development are achieved by damaging deliverers? I come here as a soldier from the battlefield because I consider today that the Albanian nation right here has the front line to gain political and judicial rights and dignity in the eyes of the world”, he said.
The protest of the diaspora Albanians taking place near the Special Court in The Hague will continue until 1: 00 p.m.
