Women in Kosovo are still victims of domestic violence

By Kosovo Police for Indexline, 404 cases of domestic violence have been reported in the first two months of this year (January 2023).

The reports show that Kosovo women are still the most frequent victims of violence.

Of all those reported cases, 320 are female victims, while 99 males.

Almost similar cases of domestic violence occurred during the first two months of the preceding year (January 22, 2022).

The number of female female victims has prevailed throughout 2022.

As Kosovo Police report, 2294 women were victims of domestic violence during that year.

This number is almost four times the number of male victims. There were 523 male casualties during 2022.

The total order of the number of domestic violence victims during 2022 is 2817, out of a total of 2764 reported cases.
