Rama from London: Ohrid Agreement, recognition “de facto” of Kosovo

Albania's prime minister, Edi Rama, believes that a united Balkans both in the economy and in condemning Russian aggression in Ukraine is very important for stability and peace, as in it turns to the past, where, according to him, the “of war and blood is still fresh between Kosovo and Serbia”. [...]
A help in the region's close co-operation also plays the process of the Open “Balkans, where Rama said it is difficult to negotiate with Serbia due to its Kosovo stalemate, but that “we should keep on our side”.
The “is part of a whole transformation that is experiencing the Balkans. Albanians are in the best position they've ever been. Relations in the Balkans have never been better. We have an elephant in the room in any agreement with Serbs, because of Kosovo.
And for that we have to keep Serbia on our side, because it can turn us into the past. Let's make sure that joining the Balkans against Russian aggression in Ukraine does not break down, as if that happens can bring us back very soon to the past”, Rama said.
Regarding the European proposal for normalising Kosovo-Serbia relations, Rama said it is the best to date, where the parties receive what they meet and is a “facto” recognition of Kosovo from Serbia.
I think the document on the table is the best where both sides can get what is due. Both sides are close to war, and the smell of blood is still strong to the point that they cannot take the last steps. This is the right path and recognition “de facto” of Kosovo's right to live and decide separately.
It is Serbia's “de facto”, where normal relations should be made with Kosovo. The only point is for them to be implemented, as the Balkan country is a busy country. But let's see”, Rama said.
Rama made these statements during a conversation in the audience of the Royal Institute of International Relations in London, where he is on an official visit.
