The prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, along with Economy Minister Artane Rizvanolli and Prime Minister's Chief of Staff, Luan Dalippi today has welcomed a delegation of representatives of the U.S. State Department, International Development Financial Corporation (DFC), Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), American Export-Import Bank, Central European Business Association, and representatives of six major American energy sector companies, General Electric, Honeywell, Emerson Electrics, Siemens, Energy, Techtington and Wetington International.
As the Prime Minister's Office for Media reveals, this delegation has been led by US Ambassador to Kosovo Jeffrey Hovenier.
“Welcoming Kosovo, Prime Minister Kurti stressed the importance and particularness of relations between the two countries and our peoples. He reported on economic and democratic progress in the country over the past two years, despite difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the energy and inflation crisis as a result of the war in Ukraine. As a dual story of success, of successful international intervention in spring 1999 and of co-editing quality democracy and economic development, Kosovo is a story worth investing”, the report says.
On the other hand, according to ZKM, US State Department Special Representative Dorothy McAuliffe has said that this delegation's visit was in the spirit of partnership, partnership that is strong between the United States and Kosovo, and of priority for the US.
US companies Honeywell, GE Power, Siemens Energy, Advent Technologists, Emerson Automation Associations, and Wethington International have expressed their interest in investing in Kosovo and contributing to Kosovo's energy sector development plans. Representatives of these companies introduced their work and the technologies they offer, which are in line with the Energy Strategy, as well as the Government's main projects for the sector. Similarly, the American delegation had held a meeting with Economy Minister Artane Rizvanolli, who had presented them with projects that Government is developing, and opportunities for investment in the energy sector and other sectors in Kosovo”, it said in the end.
