Regarding this agreement, the mayor of the Bujanoc municipality, Nagip Arifi, spoke of Indescline.
Arifi welcomes this agreement, though stressing that “is no longer perfect, because with this agreement many important topics have been left without resolving”.
Any agreement aimed at political stability between the two states is welcome. The Ohrid Agreement as the continuation of the Brussels Agreement cannot say it is perfect, because with this agreement many important topics have been left unsolved. One is also avoiding the legitimate demands of Albanians in the Presevo Valley, so that the principle of reciprocity between Serbs in Kosovo and Albanians in Serbia, Arifi says.
The chairman also feels that the good of all this agreement is that things are starting to move, stressing Article 1 of this agreement as important to the Albanians in the Valley.
Of all those points, for the Albanians in the Valley it is of particular importance that Article 1 of this agreement be implemented as soon as possible, which also recognizes each other's documents, such as passports, IDs, diplomas, license plates and so on. With the implementation of this point increased the chances that graduates from the Republic of Kosovo will be employed, the problem we have raised at almost every” meeting, the mayor of Bujanoc claims.
Arifi expects the two states to have a starting point on the Ohrid Agreement and to continue working in the future towards political stability and the region's EU integration.
