Nearly 14 years in waiting for justice, as three teenagers were injured in a bar in downtown Pristina

The night of August 26th 2009, due to the permanent consequences in life, will remain the most memorable night for the three teenagers of Argentin, Brilant and Besart. They had the luck of being in a bar, suffering from bullets that would be taken from the two groups that were trying with guns to get the numbers between them.

Brilant Krasniqi, then 16-year-old, was severely injured in his legs and arms, experiencing clinical death after the bullet had broken his arteries. After two hours of operations at the University Clinical Centre in Kosovo, it would be sent for recovery abroad. So far, he has underwent over 15 operations, while his left leg is paralyzed today.

Ergent Breznica, meanwhile, 17-year-old, would be hit by lead near the heart, where he would undergo two higher risk operations for life. For several months he'd be in the hospital for treatment.

Together with Argent and Brilant, a minor named Besart Hoxha would get two bullets on both feet.

But how had the criminal event taken place, and why is there no justice for over 13 years?

I, along with Besart and two other friends, went to a bar in downtown Pristina with a drink. Because it was the end of summer vacation, and on September 1, we had to start school. We're sitting at a table where there's about 100 other young people, underage around the age of 15-16”, says Brilant Krasniqi, the injured in this case.

There was a shooting between two groups that had unfortunately been the victim of that fight that night, adds the injured Argent Breznica.

Besart Hoxha, another injured, Besar Hoxha says he was 16-year-old and that the clash had started at the locals after about 20 minutes of entry into the club.

According to the injured, the clash had occurred between Bajram Musa's group, Florim Fazliu, known as “Jacobaque” and Nuhi Sopa, known as “Soap”, the three had been together at the bar when the other group, Rinor Dudishk, Faton Hajdari, Fadil Feta, and Fittim Morina were joined.

According to Krasniqi, after a few minutes the other group was joined by the newest group, Faton Hajdari, Fadil Feten and Fitm Morina, and as soon as they saw the people back, they started shooting guns, where the victims were, three re-launched.

“Mas a few minutes have entered Youth Decisk with his group. They started shooting in the direction of Gipelle, and Japela sat right next to us about six feet a mile or two meters, and you shot Japelen bullets got us”, says the injured Hoxha.

The three injuries say the bullets were taken from the left.

“I've seen YouthDishk and Faton Hajdari, firing towards our”, the injured Krasniqi said.

The injured Argent Breznica, says he remembers his position at the bar and that the bullets had come to him from the left.

And I know that in that case, I know that I am the first wounded of the beginning that the mass that I am not injured is after another blow, and there are many people behind you to flee, to scream, to meet, to know what they say, to meet with tragic events. Even I fell to the ground and didn't see my friends again, he confessed to Breznica.

While, Hoxha says he was wounded that night on his left leg under his knee and on his right foot.
