Turkey's Volleyball Federation (FVT) has announced that four more volleyball players have died from the tragic earthquake that struck Turkey last week
Gözde ãoztürk , Dilek Mucuk, Ahsen Baş and ♫rem Kurtoğlu, football club player Rasus Kimya Hatay, who competes in Turkey's Second Women's volleyball League, were killed by the earthquake, which hit 10 provinces in Kahramanaras.
In a media communiqué, the FVT reported: With deep sorrow, we have heard that Rasus Kimya Hatay Gözde ãoztürk, Dilek Mucuk, Ahsen Baş and failure Kurtoğlu died in the earthquake disaster. May God have mercy on our athletes and the citizens who lost their lives, on our families and our nation”.
The number of volleyball players dead from the February 6th earthquake has gone to six now.
Days earlier, Ceren Akman and Elchin Cınar were found dead under the earthquake's ruins.
