Serbian government moves against two people after accurately referring to Kosovo as Republika

Serbia's government has initiated disciplinary procedure against an interpreter and has dismissed the office chief for media co-operation, due to a report published on the government's website that Kosovo referred to as the Republic of Kosovo. Kosovo declared independence in 2008, but Belgrade refuses to recognise it. Serbia's official position is that Kosovo is still part of it.
Also, it has been decided to dismiss the chief of the office for media co-operation, where the task leader in the post has been appointed Divna Vidakovic.
On February 6th, Serbia's prime minister, Ana Brnabiq, said that in the report where the Republic of Kosovo was written was wrong during translation. She added that this “error is severe and unforgivable to translators”.
She said this content had immediately left the Serbian Government website.
