Cristiano Ronaldo is accused of having dominated Man Utd's former player

Ronaldo left United with a joint agreement in December, following a disappointing conclusion of his time at the club, writes Periscopi.

The Red Day legend returned to Old Tuffford, with great excitement in the summer of 2021 and scored 18 goals at Premier League last season.

He was also the main responsible for the Red Days who led their group into the Champions League, marking six goals.

But United failed to qualify for the Champions League for this season, and reports appeared in summer that Ronaldo wanted to leave the club.

His form then deteriorated in the field under Eric ten Hag's new direction when he scored only three goals in 16 matches before World Cup break.

Speaking in his feature in Sportsqueda, the legend of Arsenal, Paul Merson, has accused Ronaldo of having executed Bruno Fernandes when the two players were in the field together at Old Tuffford.

Fernandes is one of the many United players who have been in excellent shape since the World Cup ended, with eight goals at the time.

And Merson believes Ronaldo's departure has helped midfielder.

Merson explained: “Man United has improved since Ronaldo's departure, right? Other players are starting to express much more now.

“ [Markus] Rasford can't stop shooting. Bruno Fernandes looks like another player now I think he was dominated by Ronaldo. This may be unfair to say, but it looks like this from the outside.

“Manchester United is not as unstable as once, and that's why they are where they are on the Premierleague table”, he said.
