Conjufca: A new form of association must be found

Parliament Speaker Glauk Konjufca has said that the Franco-German plan is acceptable to Kosovo, as there is no Association of Serb-run municipalities in it. But, he acknowledges that in that plan Kosovo gets a commitment to implementing agreements so far. And since this association has rejected the Constitutional Court, [...]
The head of the Assembly made comments in a statement about Online Economy and several other media in the Kosovo Assembly Hall.
Konjufca has said international representatives have demanded that confidence be maintained and the plan, originally known as Franco-German, not be made public. He has discovered that Prime Minister Albin Kurti has had this plan since September 2022.
“This government plan, as I know it, German and French representatives have submitted it to them in September last year, but this plan is required by the proposers themselves not to be very much shared with the public, to be completely limited because while the parties are in conversation and introduced first to them, because the process can be destroyed if the privacy is not maintained”, Konjufca said.
“Eh just then, Prime Minister Kurti three months ago said it is a good basis for further progress. I don't know why all this dust when the prime minister has said this plan is acceptable to Kosovo, because no association is mentioned there, said Konjufca.
The whole thing that can be allude to in that plan is that the already reached agreements in the dialogue. So Kosovo gets a certain obligation for the up-to-date agreements that have been reached in dialogue, so in this respect it can be said that the explosive is reference to association. But the question is that this association has rejected the Constitutional, and now the question is to find a new form of association”, the head of the Assembly said.
I think there are two risks for Kosovo. And why this is not the best solution and why it is compromise. It's compromise because it doesn't have legal recognition, but it's recognition "dephacto" -- that's Serbia's citizenship to Kosovo is not directly accepted but indirectly”, Konjufca said further.
