The architect, whose plan for construction of villas in Podujevo, Visar Geci, has published two emails, in one of his statements, said that the director of Urbanism in the Podujevo municipality, Leutrim Krasniqi, has asked the Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure for clarification on how procedures should be followed for providing water permits.
In the email bearing the name of the director of Urbanism in Podujevo, Leutrim Krasniqi, who is supposed to have been sent on November 30th 2022, Krasniqi has asked the Ministry of Environment, Space Planning and Infrastructure that “should applicant be provided in advance with water permits before applying for construction permits?
Likewise, Krasniqi has asked at the MMPHI whether he can have the Podujevo municipality “issue water permits”.
While, according to the email published by Geci, in the ministry's response it is said that “as we have posted several times at meetings, water access is given after construction permit”.
And as to whether to issue municipal water permits, the ministry's response is said to be “as we are aware. MMPHI has not yet carried competencies to the municipality for issuing water acts, so until the adoption of competencies, with water acts must be equipped in ARPL”.
