Organisations dealing with gathering facts about war crimes have demanded from the Government that the restitution of human damage and material damage from war be the subject of dialogue with Serbia. They have said their request has been since the beginning of dialogue that this issue is part of the discussion, but since no Government has been taken into account.
The leaders of these organisations have said that governments have done little in securing the crime trails, which they said allow the disappearance of crime's traces is a repeat of crime.
Ahmet Gajqevci, chairman of the Co-ordination Council for Extinction and War Crimes, has said that by 2013 they have demanded that Serbia's compensation for its crimes in Kosovo be part of the dialogue.
He said that in Kosovo over 65 percent of villages have been destroyed by the Serbian state, not including damage to state property.
We've asked for war damage, damage to the civilian population that's been killed. We have many people killed to be repaid by the Serbian state for the crimes it has committed. As far as material damage is concerned, it is also necessary because it is a great value which is done commandably, administratively and all damage is done with specific projects. In Kosovo, damages have been 65 percent of the villages damaged, billions damaged”, he said.
He said no Government has given cover over the war crimes issue.
“This has been our ongoing request, any meeting of internationals has been the requirement that the damage to the war should always be highlighted and given final assessment of war rewards. This has been and so we've been looking for our people who have gone into dialogue. First the dawn of the fate of missing persons, the victims of war and the material damage Serbia has done to Kosovo. This is with international conventions that those times Serbia will respond as soon as required is the better. Neither can a government say that it has provided cover in this direction, from the Thaci government to today, nor has a government been sufficiently committed to war crimes, in the damages of war, in the process of missing”, he said.
Jahir Bata chairman of the organisation “The standing up of Voice” said that as an organisation, they have demanded that this issue be addressed since the beginning of dialogue with Serbia.
Bayta said they have drawn up 1,000 and 200 indictments, which have been handed over to the courts for compensation for war damages caused by Serbia, but all have been rejected, with the argument that they are not competent to sue another state, EO reports.
We must have, in exactly 2011, written the officially, Edita Tahiri, who was chief negotiator and sent the conclusion of the Voice Establishment Association, that the first topics should be the question of the missing, then compensation for the other damage. We've said decidity and implicitation that if it happens to be calculated not to engage in damage, it will be a burden to any future government because human life and wealth are a constitutional category and there is no one right to calculate it or to give it to”, he said.
The “in this direction has not been done enough, but promises have been given more in election campaigns even at the beginning of the work that will be collected and filed indictments, but practically nothing has been done. So far there are 1200 files entirely, but they're all on their way, only 100 went to the Constitutional Court. Democracy is rejection, they are rejected. All are rejected, even the same answer. Allowing traces of crime to disappear is repeating crime, a criminal offense means we are repeating the crime after we run out of evidence”, he said. / EO/
