The rapporteur for Kosovo in the European Parliament, Violet von Cromon, has welcomed the agreement between KEDS and Elektroseveri.
She has said this step is in the right direction towards full implementation of all pending agreements.
Good choice to see the signing of the energy contract between KEDS and Elektrosever. This is a step in the right direction towards full implementation of all pending agreements so that we can finally have full normalisation between Kosovo and Serbia! EU integration is our common goal”, Von Cromon wrote.
To sign this commercial contract, during the day the EU special envoy for Kosovo dialogue Miroslav Lajcak initially reacted.
Lajcak praised it as an important step in the implementation of the Energy Guide.
This is an important step in implementing the Energy Guide facilitated by the EU and on the road to normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia. Congratulations to all who made it possible”, Lajcak said.
According to the June 2022 guide, Elektrosever would sign the necessary technical agreements with COST and KED within ten days of issuing the license, “to operate on the energy market in Kosovo”.
These agreements would enable it “to provide distribution services (fatimation, collection, maintenance and physical ties of new consumers) in the four Serb majority northern municipalities”.
