Today marks the last day that all owners of cars with license plates such as KM, PR, PZ, DE, UR and others turn them into license plates in the Republic of Kosovo.
After the end of this deadline, then after December 15th, citizens who do not register their cars even after the decision, defined by the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, will be counted as owners of unregistered cars and their cars will not be allowed to circulate on the territory of the Republic of Kosovo, including border crossings as the legislation in force. The cars will be stopped by road traffic police and fined for countering traffic and the signs will be removed from the vehicle, while if the same vehicle is encountered again in circulation that car will be confiscated”, they said by MPB for rel.
The deadline for converting the plates would have to be completed on December 1st, but the Kosovo government had extended it for 15 days after long lines had been noted in front of centres for reregistering.
