Navajo sent to a new prison, unknown location

Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny is no longer in IK-6 Melekhovo prison, after being held in another prison, whose whereabouts are not yet known, Kremlin critic Kira Yarmish said on Monday. “They just left the IK-6 Melekovo building and told a lawyer that prisoner Navajo [...]
They just came out of IK-6 Melekovo's building and told a lawyer that the Navajo prisoner is no longer on the prisoner's list. They refuse to say if he has been transferred”, Yarmysh said to the social X network.
Earlier in the day, Yarmysh said the Navajo was not allowed to communicate for nearly a week, while his lawyers had not been allowed to meet him in prison.
Navalny, one of the most vocal critics of Russian President Vladimir Putin, in August was sentenced to 19 years in prison after being found guilty of creating an extremist organisation and transferred to a prison “with the worst regime”.
His initial sentence was pronounced in 2021 after he arrived in Moscow from Germany, where he was treated by a poisoning he blamed the Kremlin for.
Before he was imprisoned, he was the most vocal opposition to hosting major protests against the Russian government.
Three of the Navalny attorneys -- Vadim Cobzev, Igor Sergun and Alexei Lipster -- have been arrested in October and are being prosecuted for participation in an extremist community, due to their ties with Navajo and his anti-corruption foundation. /rel/
