The country's prime minister, Albin Kurti, has turned to Serbian citizens in Kosovo in terms of Kosovo's application for membership in the Council of Europe, visa liberalisation and increased interest in equipping with passports and license plates of the Republic of Kosovo.
He said that on 1 January Kosovo citizens will be free to travel without visas, while adding that there is 30% increase in applications for biometric passports this year compared to the past.
Prime Minister Kurti announced that over 3260 car owners from early November have so far changed their plates to those of the Republic of Kosovo.
“Consideration for integration, and we understand that the same is in the interest of every citizen of Kosovo. All of us. Together”, he adds.
