Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has said he has not seen the show where Infrastructure Minister Libron Aliu said that “Kosovo is a temporary project”.
“I don't find it appropriate to make comments to TV shows that I haven't seen”, Kurti said at first, when asked journalists for Ali's statement on Television 7, which prompted many reactions.
However, from information received by Kosovo Government spokesman Progress Kryeziu, Kurti has stated that the show in question has been a festive nature honour of November 28th.
My spokesperson, Progress Kryeziu, told me he was a celebratory show on the day of the flag festival and independence of November 28th. Today we are here in Gjilan for jobs, which are being done for the citizens for their own good, and I believe this is the concentration today”, he added.
Infrastructure Minister Lieburn Aliu, on a TV presentation on Television 7 has artulated a statement that has sparked multiple reactions.
According to Aliu, Kosovo is a temporary project, referring to the aspirations for joining Albania.
I see Kosovo today more as a temporary project. What are the elements that today try to create the Kosovo nation? According to the Constitution Kosovo is of a multiethnic country. What Kosovo is, whether it is Albanian Kosovar or something else, if we were to create a nation that would target a mix of ethnicities, I don't know how successful it will be, and is not succeeding”, he said.
Since the minister's post constitutes public authority and the statement issued by this position is admissive to the public authorities' position, then Minister Librun Aliu's statement that “Kosovo is a temporary project” and that it is “the minister of a interim state”, in addition to imposing his dismissal, allows legal prosecution for breach of Kosovo's constitutional order.
