Five years ago, Kosovo joined the army.
The major decision was taken by Kosovo Parliament deputies, who by 106 votes for and one abstention, voted three laws that changed the mandate of the Kosovo Security Force, but without being renamed.
Laws adopted: The Defence Ministry Bill, the Kosovo Security Force Bill and the Kosovo Security Force Service Bill. Law amendments were voted one by one.
At the Army session, Serb deputies who had rejected the transformation had not attended.
This decision of the people's elected was described as a historic decision, following Kosovo's declaration of independence.
