Kosovo construction prices fall

According to the AKS, Kosovo's overall construction cost index grew by 0.4 percent in the third quarter of 2023, compared to the second quarter of 2023.
And compared with last year, the cost of construction index declined by 1.6 percent.
“The overall value of the Kosovo Construction Cost (IKN) grew by 0.4% in TM3 2023, compared to TM2 2023. The increase had to: other costs (1.3%); salaries (0.8%); and materials (0.7%)”, the report said.
While the biggest decline was in energy 7.1%, machinery 2.1% and transport 1.8%.
“The overall value of the Kosovo Construction Cost (IKN) dropped -1.6% to TM3 2023, compared to TM3 2022. The biggest decline was energy -44.9%, transport -8.1%, and materials -1.5%. While the increase took place: machinery 4.0%, other costs 3.3% and salaries 3,1%”, it is said further in the ASS report.
