US Ambassador to Serbia Christopher Hill has declared for the Pristina dialogue Belgrade that recognition of independence is not on the table.
According to him, this process only takes place for normalisation of reports between the two countries, Euronews reports.
He has added that for what is on the table both sides know and that Serbia in particular has accepted it.
“De fact means that they want a kind of normalisation process. I know words are important. Words are particularly important in times of choice. Anyway, I don't want to let go of words. I'm saying both sides know what's on the table. Serbia has essentially accepted it”, Hill has expressed itself, conveys Klan Kosova.tv.
Whatever's on the table, of course, the knowledge isn't. What it is, it's normalization. I also think the situation should normalize. People in northern Kosovo should wake up in the morning knowing what their life looks like”.
Hill has added that 24 September and what happened in Banjska has damaged the dialogue and that it has led to tensions between Pristina and Belgrade.
