Charged for false property statements, acquitted of Skender Hyseni

The Pristina court has cleared former state co-ordinator for dialogue Skender Hyseni of charges weighing him for default or false declaration of property in connection with the “Volkswagen” car worth 13,300 euros.

Under the court's ruling, it has not been proven the same committed criminal acts and that the means the defendant's vehicle was bought by has not been proved to result from any illegal activity.

This decision was made by the judge of the case, Sabit Sadij.

Hyseni, who had received the mandate as co-ordinator for dialogue in March 2020, said during the defence delivery that the car had been bought 1 year or three months before receiving this mandate. According to the Pristina Pristina Prosecutor's Act, Skender Hyseni has committed criminal acts, such as non-reporting or false reporting of property. According to the prosecution, Skender Hyseni in August 2020 in the quality of the top public official, state co-ordinator for dialogue at the prime minister's office, has deliberately failed to submit the required data on the form for property statements on the occasion of taking office as co-ordinator.
