Dutch diplomat, once ambassador to Kosovo Robert Bosch, has declared that he views the most powerful military Alliance in the world as necessary, NATO, to increase the number of soldiers in Kosovo.
According to him, at this stage on the eve of elections in Serbia, Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, is seeking to unite all Serbs, so he does not rule out the possibility of the situation getting out of control.
It is clear that NATO has recently increased its commitment to the Western Balkans, adding more troops to Kosovo. These NATO moves are not taken without information that the security situation is not so safe in the Western Balkan region”.
This sensitive security situation also concerns elections in Serbia, where Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq seeks to mobilise all Serbs. Of course, the hottest spot is northern Kosovo, where now near the border with Serbia are patrolling British soldiers and I believe they will ensure security for that part. But what I'm worried about is that Milan Radoici still moves free and that's a dangerous”, he said about Tv 1.
Secretary - General NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, has said that because of the fragile security situation in the Balkan region, NATO is considering the possibility of a permanent increase in military presence to keep tensions under control.
