Montenegro's President Jakov Milatovic during his stay in Berlin has spoken in an interview with the enlargement process and the problems facing the Western Balkan region, Express reports.
He has said Montenegro's goal is to be a reliable member NATO and to enter the EU and cultivate neighbouring reports, writes DW.
He has said it would be positive if the EU finally moves towards enlargement, commemorating that the last member has been admitted more than ten years ago (Croatia in 2013) and that many positive steps have already been made in the Balkans.
Speaking of the Balkan leaders' expectations in his inauguration as president, Milatovic has said the event is a strong photograph showing that “Montenegro has shown a place of tolerance, peace and prosperity”.
In addition, he aware of tension in the region, has also cited dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, saying he hopes the two states will solve such a problem that hinders the path towards the EU.
