Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, has said that during the meeting in Brussels with European leaders, they have been told that Kosovo's “recognition is not the case”.
Vuciq, in October in Brussels, met with French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Melon, European Union for Foreign Policy and Security chief Josep Borrell of the EU's EU Minister for Kosovo Dialogue Miroslav Lajcak.
Thus, Vuciq has told Tv Tanjug on Sunday that “will not sign Kosovo's independence”, the declaration that comes ahead of parliamentary elections in Serbia where Vuciq plays the “strong”.
“Se won't sign and accept Kosovo's independence. And they know that”, Vuciq declared.
They say you have this opportunity, do you want to sign it? It is not easy to say that these are serious people, the most responsible for the fates of Europe”, has added Vuciq to the weight of European leaders.
Furthermore, he has said he is aware that Serbia could face consequences for this refusal.
