The VII election Convention of Democratic Youth, Krasniqi: PDK is your family

Kosovo's Democratic Youth has held the VII election Convention.

Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Memli Krasniqi said in his speech this selection of PDK youth is the future of politics with their voices.

I think it's coincidence that we are completing elections in the Democratic Youth of Kosovo in a new year. But dear delegates beyond the symbol of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, The PDK and its young people are not only launching a new mandate but also a new political cycle. This new political cycle will begin with these new elections and resume a new political start for their voice. Therefore this is your moment, this is your present and your future and the Democratic Party of Kosovo is your political family”, he said.

He also said that there has been no gender discrimination in PDK, and that for this 40 per cent of girls have been in leadership positions.

For the first time, a record number of girls have competed for leadership positions, and now 40 percent of branch heads are just girls. This is a fantastic example of the organic embrace of our platform together 50/50 for full gender equality in representation and decision making, and I'm very happy that this example is, first of all, witnessing with our wonderful youth”, Krasniqi said.

This convention was held two days after it filled 23 years of founding Kosovo's Democratic Youth. / EO
