With “What is that rule?

The American Embassy has started its meeting on which the Serbian municipalities' association will be discussed.

The meeting, which is set to last two hours, is organised by the American Embassy. Representatives of civil society, presidency, government, and opposition are invited to the meeting.

At the embassy's invitation, it is said the objective is to be heard from various parties for Association.

On January 31st, the American Embassy will hold a discussion on the issue of association. I invite you, or your representative, to join us in this discussion, which I will lead. The US Embassy will unite a different group of civil society leaders, government officials, political leaders and diplomats to discuss this important topic. Our goal is to hear directly from the different sides of the interest for Serb Assolution in Kosovo, in support of the EU-brokered Dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia”.

Also, the American Embassy has stressed that this event will follow the rule of “Chatham House”, writes Insander.

“We are organising this discussion in line with our long-standing goal of advancing Kosovo's integration into European and Euro-Atlantic structures and both reflecting our long friendship and supporting the people of Kosovo. The event will follow Chatham House's rule. The discussion will take place on Tuesday morning, January 31st, between 10:00 and 12:00 at the American Embassy”, said at their invitation.

Foreign diplomats are expected to be part of this meeting.

What is rule “Chatham House”?

“Catham House” is an independent political institute and a forum entrusted to debate and dialogue. The research and ideas of this institute help people to understand the changing world.

According to data on the page of “Chatham House”, it reportedly helps create an environment entrusted to understand and solve complex problems.

The spirit of this rule is: Share the information you receive, but do not reveal the identity of who said it.

The rule is the following:

“When a meeting, or a part of it, is held according to Chatham House rules, participants are free to use the information received, but neither identity nor belonging to the speaker or any other”.

Who will represent Government at the Association meeting?

Last week, Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti said he did not personally receive an invitation to attend the Association meeting.

However, the American Embassy, although it has not sent its personal invitation to Kurt, has initiated it to the government.

As government representative Kurti will attend Chief of Safe, Luan Dalipi.

So has the spokesman for this government, Kryeziu Progress.

For the meeting in question, the invitation was accepted by Prime Minister Luan Dalipi, who will participate tomorrow”, Kryeziu said.

While the opposition party presidency has not revealed who will be part of this meeting.
